Canary Islands Tourism Research site

The profiles of tourists in the Canary Islands are analysed, using ISTAC's Tourist Expenditure Survey data. The main objective of this survey is to provide an in-depth study of the behaviour of tourists visiting the islands (expenditure, socio-demographic profile and the general characteristics of their trips to the Canary Islands). To this end, annual fact sheets are produced taking various case studies into account:

• General tourist profile information sheets for the Canary Islands, islands, markets, NUTS (Germany, UK and Spanish mainland) and segments.
• Seasonal tourist profile information sheets for the Canary Islands, islands and markets.
• Tourist profile trends information sheets for the Canary Islands, islands and markets.
• Tourist profile island comparison information sheets for markets.
• Tourist profile island information sheets of the main markets, by island.
