The volume of business directly generated by tourism activity in the Canary Islands is analysed, in terms of tourist turnover, as well as its breakdown into average expenditure per tourist and trip and average expenditure per tourist and day. The impact on tourist accommodation is also analysed in terms of occupancy, profitability and employment - the latter available at the level of tourist areas.
