Employment is analysed monthly from two perspectives:

1. Social Security Registration and Unemployment. Data are analysed for the Canary Islands and Spain in regard to social security registration and registered unemployment. In terms of the Canary Islands, the data on registration and unemployment in the hotel and hospitality industry, travel agencies and tour operators are examined in depth. 
2. Employment in accommodation (ISTAC). The total number of jobs in open tourist establishments are analysed along with the total number of jobs by income, bednights, guests and bed-spaces.
